A Sentiment on Sex

Sex: a small three-letter word with a powerful impact on human existence. As a natural force that sustains life on Earth, it is essential to our way of life. Yet, it remains frowned upon and considered taboo in society, especially if it is pursued for mere pleasure and if women openly express their desire for it.

As a woman who loves sex, I find this societal attitude towards it to be perplexing. I move sensually to please the bare body in my presence, seeking gratification for both parties. Whether it is a one-night stand or a meaningful relationship, I treat sex as an art form, and I consider myself an extraordinary artist. The male body is my favorite canvas, and I use my tongue as the paintbrush, with his sensations becoming the vibrant paint. It is disheartening to be judged as a scarlet woman or a slut, simply for expressing my natural desires.

To me, sex is a beautiful essence, not only for its role in procreation but also for the bliss that it brings. Research published in the journal Science by Matthew Killingsworth and Daniel Gilbert of Harvard University has shown that happiness is derived from being fully engaged in the present moment and mindful of our body senses. Distracting thoughts, doubts, judgments, daydreams, and ruminations detract from our happiness. However, during sex, we tend to be in a meditative state, fully focused on this act of lust and love. We are in a natural state of revitalization once it is over, and depending on the experience, we usually feel better and in a more positive mood.

Women, sex, and life share the same description of beauty, yet they are viewed so differently by society. It makes no sense to me that women are frowned upon for loving sex, as if society is telling women not to love life. If women did not love sex, human existence would cease to exist. Sex is a beautiful essence, and women are beautiful. Life itself is beautiful. Let us embrace it all and break down the societal taboos and judgments that hold us back from experiencing the true beauty of existence.
